I wanted to point out that, the T-Wolves were leading in Golden State the entire first half, but they fell apart in the second half... if they would have hang on and beat the Warriors, your Rockets would've moved up to the #6 spot. Oh well.
At age 81 and Kobe still managed EIGHT 40 or 40 plus points games this season so far, wow!
The next three games for the Lakers are against playoffs bounce teams, and they are all still fighting for seeding. It is not going to be easy for the Lakers, but they will all be fun to watch.
Just a reference to his career high 81 points, get it? Haha
By the way, you should give thanks to the Thunder for beating the Warriors today. Now your Rockets are only half a game behind them for the #6 seed. Then again, you shouldn't be facing the Thunder even if you stay at the #7 spot anyway.
In my opinion, it doesn't matter what your seeding is. The first round is going to be difficult for the Rockets. Each of those top 4 teams present unique challenges for you guys. Yet since Gallinari is out for the season, I thought you have a slight advantage if you should face the Nuggets. Ok, not exactly an advantage, but at least you would have one LESS scorer to deal with.
Early reports are saying Kobe suffers a probable torn Achilles tendon... this is a very serious injury, and is the same one that ended Isiah Thomas' and ruined Elton Brand's careers. I understand a lot of people hate the Lakers or Kobe, but this is a terrible way to end a star player's career. Something I do not wish to happen.
This type of injury takes anywhere from 6 months to a FULL year to fully heal. Like I said earlier, it is a serious injury, and it has ruined several other stars' careers before. So we will see how Kobe handle his rehabs. Knowing his personality, he will try his very best to come back as good as he can, but he likely won't be returning by AT LEAST the all-star break next year. I won't be surprised if he would be out the entire next season.
