Yeah, for the first time since 2006, the Clippers are somewhat relevant. Yet, unlike some people suggest they are now a title contender, I think they will make the Playoffs but won't go far. After all, Del Negro isn't that good of a coach, but aside from Griffin they are really thin up front.

I am glad I am in North America. I have viewed 5 games straight. NON-STOP! @_@ What more can a NBA fan ask for? This is the best Christmas gift Santa has given to me so far.
It was awesome to watch 5 games in one day. Knicks upset the Celts is a good game. Bulls come back from 15 points deficits are good to watch. The most boring game is Heat vs. Mavs. LBJ and the co. and tearing Mavs apart.
OKC got some good game, too bad Dwight is not himself tonight. Watching Griffin and CP3 are priceless.

(On the side note) Mavs shouldn't let go of Tyson Chandler and J.J. Barea, Odom is good but no match with Chandler. The enforcer for the Mavs is gone to the Knicks. Seeing Vince Carter playing the Mavs game looks so weird. He dosen't looks like he belong to this style of play.

Geez... I envy you and I miss the old days when I too was in the US... hell, I even went to Suns' games on a regular basis back then. Those were fun times, and nothing can compare that experience here in HK...

About the Mavs, sadly I think they are a one-hit wonder. It is hard to see them get beyond the second round with the team they have now. They didn't exactly let both Barea and Chandler go, rather they didn't have the money (cap) to keep neither of them.

Having said that, I like what I saw in the Knicks yesterday!! They are actually playing some D, can you believe it?! lol The same goes for my Lakers. Even though we choked at the end, but I like the hussle and defense from most guys. McBob and Murphy both played GREAT in my opinion. Once Bynum is back from his suspension, I think we will be pretty alright.

Oh, finally, why KG wasn't punished for choking Walker's neck yesterday?!

Why KG didn't get suspended? I can say it is just couple seconds before the buzzer sound. The game is over. Is it neccessary to suspend a player when the game is finished? Depends on the condition of rugged play. I am not a ref but from viewing in so many angles, it is not severe enough to make a flagrant. It is pointless to make a call around couple seconds left from the buzzer sound.

Dark Horse this year from the East would be the Bucks and the West would be the Nuggets.
Watch out for these two teams, they will make some noise.

It's rare to see Tim Duncan playing like his old form. Scary as it is.

Technically the game is NOT over until the officials sign off the game book, per NBA rules. Even AFTER the game is officially over, players can still be punished for mis-conduct... you sir seem to forget about how Sheed got suspended once for going after an official and kept arguing a 'bad' he made during the game... and that happened after the game was over and players were all returned to their locker rooms... just saying.

Dark horse over would be the Bucks?! I have to respectfully disagree with you there. I would say the best 4 teams out east are: the Heat, Magic, Knicks AND the Bulls (not in particular order). To me, the Pacers are going to surprise a ton of people this year.

As for out west... you might be right, the Nuggets seem to be playing pretty damn well now. Maybe it is just me, I think the T-Wolves would win more games than most people expect them to win this season too. Reaching or getting close to .500 isn't impossible for them.

We played like yesterday's game in LA. By that I mean our big guys came up huge, while Kobe played 2 consecutive subpar games. Especially on the defensive ends... I am not at all surprised we lost tonight @ Denver, and I consider yesterday's win was a lucky one. Maybe, just maybe we need to sit Kobe 3-5 minutes longer per game, and let both Pau and Bynum play more together in the middle 2 qtrs?

As for the Mavs, losing to the T-Wolves (don't get me wrong, they are MUCH improved) hurts. At 1-4 now they need to really look themselves in the mirror and decide what is their best lineup and rotation. For one reason or another Odom has been playing like crap for the Mavs (sort of glad we traded him away now), and they really have lost their defensive identity. I know it is still early, but it surely doesn't look great for the defending champs.

Call me crazy, but they can stay healthy, I am picking the Bulls to win the East this year! ...ok, it all depends on how or IF Boozer are going to play any defense comes playoffs time too.

If it was some small potato instead of KG that would be suspensions for sure, no matter the game was over or not imo...

And speaking of KG and the Celtics, maybe, just maybe age is finally catching up with them.

Sure, after a 0-3 start they've gone 4-1... but 2 of those victories came against the Wizards. Then when they faced a quality team like the Pacers the other night, they just simply couldn't keep up. Their next 4 games are all going to be tough against the Mavs, Bulls, @ Pacers and the Thunder. I won't be surprised if they drop 3 out of those 4.

On a similar topic, this compressed 66-game schedule has been giving older teams alot of trouble... we will see how well they fair by March...

This shorten season is really made for the young teams with young legs imo.  However, you also have to be young and good in order to survive too...
So far there were six NBA teams that have completed back-to-back-to-back stretches.  The only team that won all 3 is the OKC Thunder.   And Chicago Bulls look like they will be the 2nd team to do so too...

‎48pts? What bad wrist? lol No, seriously, I am NOT laughing here. The next 12 days are going to be TOUGH for us (the Lakers). First we still have 3 games in 4 nights, then the Mavs at home before a short but ultra tough roadie @ Miami and Orlando. We will be LUCKY to win 3 of the next six games!

Ha, ha... Can't agree more...  Ha, ha...
LBJ is good ,and probably has the best physical tools to be one of the best of all time. But, mentally, he is not eve close... Instead of worrying about his image, he should ask Kobe to train with him for a summer...

Like you said, James has all the tools and talents he would ever need, but he is lacking in heart and that killer instinct. That can't be trained, and he just has to adjust his mindset in huge game, or in tight moments.

All in all, image is everything and I guess his image is pretty much ruin at this point. Fans even like him or absolutely hate him! Case in point, when the Heat were playing the Clippers the other night, CP3 and James both had pretty forgettable 4th qtr and OT, but people would not discuss about CP3's performance, or rather subpar performance. I bet you it has everything to do with their images in public's view.
