I had been there in 1995 summer.  There are a few things which impressed me much:
1) Very nice historical building there.  Any photo from any street corner could also be a post card
2) Could sense ( & smell ) the classical music all around because there are many people who play violin, other musical intruments along the street.  Very enjoyable walk there.
3) Relatively cheaper price index amongst all European Countries (at that time, not sure now).  Good bargain to tourist~!
