日前發改委指, 目標是三年後(2015)令上海成為全球人民幣定價, 清算, 交易中心, 交易額規模要達到一千萬億元, 提升股市及商品市場的全球影響力, 上海銀行同業拆息成為國內人民幣基準利率, 等等.... 野心真係好大, 唔係話唔得, 只係3年時間太短, 學李小加話 wish them luck.

我唔夠班講對香港有什麼影響, 但在新聞見夏佳利話對香港冇影響, 就好似倫敦係美元的境外交易中心, 呢個比較就真係廢 up, 香港上海在同一時區, 根本唔需要2個人民幣交易中心.

唔理這個3年目標能否完成, 人民幣加速國際化的確在進行中, 除了影響我們的投資方向, 也影響我們持有我美元計價資產, 有一日起身, 港元已改掛人仔, 我擔心我份美元保單同其它美元計價資產就甘冇左拾幾個巴仙. 我估好多 ching 份保險都係計美元, 小心小心, 睇要不要 hedge 吓.

You die already, why do you care your payout is in USD or not?

agree! US economy is unlikely recover in the coming years. It is unwise to invest anymore in US

You don't remember purpose of insurance. You should care about how much your bene will get after your death, otherwise, why insure.

I also have some 101 plans in USD. It means to me.

Right but sorry, you are forced to do so. Everything you have (excluding non HKD based, like your RMB ...) is pegged, as long as HKD is pegged to the USD right now.

For anyone who has to worry about the final payout of his insurance policy after passing away and its FX impact, you obviously don't have enough.

The investment return you get from your policy is pathetic overtime especially in this low interest rate environment.  Most insurance companies are losing their shirts of late.
I bought insurance, like the rest of my estate, are all earmarked for charitable donation because I don't want anyone to put me down just for my money.  A few years ago, I bought a US$1 million policy with a 10 year pay at a cost of  around US$85,000 for my local hospital as the beneficiary and this is probably the best lagacy I can leave to my community after I am gone.

Please don't show off. It's just not the right place to show off.

My message just want to alert any potential problematic situation to be care of. Other than the 101 plans I have, I don't have any life, medical insurance or something alike. I guess the amount of cash I have is enough for me to live at least 50 years, so I don't need any insurance.

There is no show off here, only try to show some bros here on how to have a life and not having to worry about money after he is gone.

But again if you don't want to accept any suggestions that is your prerogative, no hard feeling on me.

By the way, a US$1million insurance policy only cost US$700 a month to carry for 10 years.  Most bros spent way more than in a month on girls.  I rather make a better use of my resources to help the needies.
