Parker is still not fully recovered, as you can see in that Spurs @ Lakers game last week. He only managed 1 FG out of 10, but we cannot take him lightly regardless.
Yes, there is this second year player named Darius Morris. He has been in and out of the rotation since last season. Part of last season he was actually the starting SF for Mike Brown, and he did OK early on. Then I think it was due to his inexperience on defense, Brown started to put him on the bench on and off. Then D'Antoni took over the Lakers in Nov., and he doesn't use too many players in his rotation. So naturally D-Morris hasn't been playing much since. Still, I have faith in this kid and he can play.
Another young guy is Andrew Goudelock. He played a full season last in LA year, but he got cut in training camp this year. LA only signed him to fill the roster after Kobe went down... he is dubbed the Mini Mamba! The kid can shoot and is pretty athletic like a young Kobe, but is also very raw... I don't expect him to get to play much, if at all. But hey, what can we lose by playing these guys especially now that we don't have Kobe, and no one expects LA to beat the Spurs anyway, right? |
