By the way, I'd like to say, as a Lakers fan, I am pretty pissed at what Bynum and World Peace did last year and yesterday!

The two are both cheap dirty plays, but the one from World Peace is worse imo. The reason is, it caused concussion problem to others with an elbow to the head... That's the biggest issue with all the pro sports right now and that's why they have all the long tests after someone has a concussion...
Also, with World Peace's bad history the NBA probably will give him more than 3 games suspension imo... Anyway, it was a bad play that causing himself, his team (they would like to have him to be playing):and another player (don't think he deserve to be knock out cold for no reason on the court) games.

So, the NBA decided today to give World Peace 7 games suspensions. That is one game in the regular season and the next 6 in the Playoff... That will hurt Lakers quite a bit I think...

I wonder could the Spurs pull another Championship? That would be another classic moment.
They have to go through the likes of The Jazz, The Lakers and The Thunder. And then either the Heat or the Bulls at the Finals. No more easy games like they had in history. I would be awesome to see Timmy D with one more ring.

No disrespecting the Spurs, but last year they also were the #1 seed in the west, and then got beat by the Grizzlies in the first round. Sure, last year Manu was hurt and I don't think the Jazz are going to put up much of a fight; but could they get pass the Grizzlies again in the second round? Oh, and on that, is it just me? I think the Grizzlies are going to win the series against the Clippers.

No easy game or series in the west, so I won't say out right we don't need World Peace against Denver. All the games we played them this year were pretty close.

always there is a chance there for them. they are no.1 again this season slightly thanks to the short season as they play very little games against east strong teams. if i'm not mistaken, they lost all the games vs chicago or miami. anyway, i support any west team in the final ;) . always west.
it will be great if they can earn another ring.

Since the Lakers are expected to rest all starters but Kobe tonight, I expect him to come out trying to score 30pts in the first half alone! It should be a good one.

This is a great achievement consider this season has only 66games.

No doubt Pop is a GREAT coach! Even as a Lakers fan, I do sincerely respect the Spurs and Pop's coaching!

Having said that, my gut feeling tells me this year's Finals will be between the Thunder and the Bulls.

First round prediction time, or part of it:

I think the Hawks are finally going to beat the Celtics this playoffs, I'd say 6 games the Hawks! Especially when Pierce just hurt his toe, and who knows how series that injury might be?

As much as the Mavs playing like they don't care lately, I still think they have a great chance in "upsetting" the Thunder. That series would be a tight one, and could potentially be a classic series. I don't know, Thunder in 7, and barely beat the Mavs.

The Grizzlies over the Clippers. IMO, the Grizzlies are simply a much deeper and better coached team. Grizzlies in 5 or no more than 6! Losing Billups hurts the Clippers more than people realize.

And I think we (Lakers) should take care of the Nuggets, but that team is too quick and so balance on the offensive ends, we might lose at least 2 in that series. I'd say we will take care of them in 6, but it won't be an easy series for us.

Am I crazy to predict the Pacers are going to sweep the D12-less Magic?

I actually had that feeling that he was going to sit out the last game... The difference was just too small and I don't think Kobe cares too much about those...  If it was 0.3 or so average difference then I could see him go for a try. But, 0.1 he wouldn't even waste his breath for that imo...
Mike Brown has always had the habit of sitting his main guys before Playoffs was the other reason that I had a feeling that Kobe was not gonna play.
Beisdes a few really weak teams, this Playoff is actually gonna be fun...

By the way, do you think LBJ flop or not? Ok, Chandler fouled him on that play, yes, but I think LBJ "sold" it and ended up Chandler getting a flagrant and ejection.
