And I think it is fair to say the Lakers are as good as done? I don't want to cast blame solely on Mike Brown, but his coaching style just isn't working in LA; or simply put he is NOT a good fit in LA.

With the talants that they have (except their bench) and the experience they have for most of the core players, I would think they should be better. However, as much as I think his system doesn't fit the rosters but I eve have a feeling that most of them just tuned him out too. Maybe that's why he benched Kobe and Bynum and tried to set a tone?!

Kobe had one of the weirdest game in his NBA career. But, also played a usual game (be the savior for his team)...
Missed first 15 shots, then made the last basket to win the game with 11pts...

That's a true baller right there, man.

Having said that, even Kobe admited he was tired during the interview. I mean, is Mike Brown stupid or something? He keeps playing Kobe an average 38 minutes a night?! The playoffs are around the corner, and you need your superstar to stay fresh as much as possible. If it was Pop of the Spurs, Kobe would've sat a game or two here and there just to rest.

How about the Spurs? The number 2 seed out west, winners of 7 in a row, and 9 out of the last 10 games; and interestingly like years past hardly ANYONE is talking about them. Ok, I am no fool and I know they ain't young, yet they have some new blood (new signees) after the trade deadline in Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw. I think they can definitely make some noise in the playoffs, though I still think the Thunder will eventually represent the west in the Finals.

Thunder looked like the team to beat in the west after last week's games. But, after the lost to Memphis tonight they reminded me that they are still young and coach Brook is not the coach capable to bring them there neither... I am actually think Spurs is the team, even though I have been a Thunder's fan since day one...

Having said that, BG needs to develop a reliable mid-range jumper before he can truly bring the Clippers to places. The few times when Bynum was on him, and he pretty much had nowhere to go but to jack up a few harmless weak jumpers.

First it was those trade rumors, and then the back-and-forth trade demands, withdraw of it and demands again... now this? I am telling you, D12 is someone CANNOT be trusted. If I were the Magic, this is his final season with Orlando, and I would try anything I could and do a sign-and-trade. Too bad for Orlando since D12 had opted-in, and will be around until the end of the 2013 season if he is not traded. Have fun there if you are a Magic fan.

As a Lakers fan, I have to admit I kind of entertained the thought of him playing in LA. Now? With Bynum playing like a true all-star and D12 acting like this? Hell no, I don't want him at all, ever!

Ok... OKC just lost another game and now they are 0-3 last 3 games. Now they lost the top spot in the West to the Spurs...  Damn it...

What did I say a few days ago? The Spurs and Grizzlies are better than most people realized, and I was surprised no one even mentioned about them. The Heat got out played on the boards again tonight by Memphis, and yes, it looks like the Spurs would only grab firmer to the #1 seed out west now. Having said that, if I recall correctly the Spurs also got the #1 seed last season, and remember what happened to them? So if you are a Thunder fan it is no panic time yet.

Ha, ha... Nah, I was not paniced but just disappointed...
I know Spurs are good all these years just because of their coach alone. Memphis is a good team and most likey they will make a deep run too. But, as I said before, if OKC play the right way and they will be the team to beat. Just pissed because they hold the top spot for this long and lost it by losing 3 in a row...

Oh I hear you, it is very frustrating if you have been holding on to the top spot for such a long time like you said; and then literally giving it away by losing 3 - 4 in a row all of a sudden. Honestly, I still see your Thunder in the Finals against the Heat, and hopefully you guys manage to once again beating the Heat in the Finals like Dallas did last year.

Speaking of Dallas, wow, can they play any worst? They are playing like they are not interested in making the playoffs at all. And Odom has been playing like rubbish for them this year. Sad to see him go, but am glad we got rid of him just in time.

And it is sort of "good" to know Kobe is sitting this one out against the Suns due to his shin injury. Well, injuried or not he needs to take some rest for sure. He has been playing 38 minutes a game this season compared to just 33 - 35 last year. Mike Brown is wearing him out, man, I tell you!

I actually stayed up and watch the Bulls @ Knicks game... wow! Melo was insane! Yet the rest of the Knicks looked pretty lifeless after the 1st qtr, and I must say the Knicks got a lucky win out of this one. Or shall I say the Bulls gave this one away at the line? Missing 4 FTs in a row nearing the end of regulation? Really? Having said all that, I think the Bulls are tough to beat and they DO play hard from start to finish even when they are NOT making their shots. So watch out Miami!

The Mavericks and Lamar Odom have parted ways.  The team will not release Odom but will list him as inactive for the rest of the season.  Doing this will leave open the possibility that the Mavs could trade him after the season.  

"The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team," Odom said in a statement to ESPN.com. "I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship."
