1992年1月8日，Eric Clapton 發行單曲 "Tears In Heaven"，緬懷因墜樓意外喪生的四歲小兒子 Conor，除了收錄於同年電影『Rush』原聲帶，也在錄製 MTV Unplugged 時以不插電型式演出，該版本隨後出現於 < Unplugged > 現場專輯，傳唱程度更勝原始版本。

感人至深的 "Tears In Heaven" 成為 Clapton 生涯在美國最暢銷的歌曲，除了 Billboard 亞軍及全英第五名，還進入全球逾廿個國家排行榜 Top 10，隔年贏得葛萊美「最佳流行男聲演唱」、「年度最佳歌曲」、「年度最佳唱片」三項大獎。

2004年，滾石雜誌 (Rolling Stone) 將 "Tears In Heaven" 列入其『史上五百大歌曲』榜單第362名。
