Released 38 years ago on this day (30 March 1987) ... The Smiths double album compilation 'Louder Than Bombs' featuring cover star, British playwright Shelagh Delaney - originally released in America and thereafter prompted by popular demand for local release in the UK & other countries via Rough Trade Records. LTB was released in other countries in following years. In 2003, the album was ranked No. 365 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and ranked No. 369 on a 2012 revised list.
