Rumour: Dalglish’s future to be announced today.

Dalglish arrived back in England on Tuesday morning following a meeting with the principal owner, John W Henry, and the chairman, Tom Werner, in Boston at which he delivered his end-of-season review and outlined his strategy for much-needed improvement next season.It is in the knowledge that the meeting with Henry and Werner, his explanation for Liverpool's lowest league finish for 18 years and insistence that a major summer overhaul is unnecessary has not resolved the critical issue of whether he will remain as manager next season.

Twitter and Facebook are running rampant this morning with suggestions that Kenny Dalglish has stepped down as Liverpool boss following his meeting with the club owners in the USA.

The Mirror says: “Rumours to that effect were swirling on Twitter this morning and official word from the club is expected after the meeting breaks up, thought to be at around 10pm to-night.

Dalglish is due to go on his summer holidays tomorrow and will, therefore, be keen to know where his own future lies before jetting off.

Kenny Dalglish has been sacked as Liverpool manager .
It's understood that behind the scenes Dalglish's method were seen as 'out of touch' with modern football and that the club wouldn't challenge the Premier League big boys unless a change was made.
Owners Fenway Sports Group stressed that the decision to remove Dalglish "was not reached lightly or hastily" and that the search for a new manager would begin immediately. Wigan chief Roberto Martinez is an early front runner, along with former boss Rafael Benitez and Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers.
Steve Clark has quit his job as Liverpool's first team coach in an apparent show of loyalty to  Kenny Dalglish.

我無緣睇杜sir佢踢波，無緣睇佢之前做領隊，佢對我黎講，係 (亦只係) 一個 利記 legend 既名字。

我唔知佢幾勁。

直到上年，已經係 legend 既國王，肯無視名聲受損既風險，毅然接下鶴臣既爛攤，護級邊緣既利物浦既領隊職位……

我唔知佢幾勁，但呢件事令我真係好敬重佢。

世事不如人意，今年利記事事不順，昨日佢被炒……「名聲受損」，在大眾、甚至不少「利迷」口中，成了事實吧。

但我總記得，利記上年既困境，係由佢救番既。即使今年諸事不利，杜 sir 亦令多年冇獎既利記捧杯，唔係咩？

作為利迷，我永遠尊重 King Kenny。

Liverpool’s failings were not solely down to Dalglish – their problems are deep rooted and have not been helped by cutting off the nose to spite the face.
Dalglish stepped up when asked by the club’s owners and guided them up the table after Hodgson had left, and while results didn’t always reflect what they deserved, there were plenty of times this season that the Scot had Liverpool playing some of the most attractive football in the league.
Liverpool hit the woodwork over 30 times this season, more than any other team in the Premier League.
Imagine though, if those 33 strikes had hit the back of the net instead of the frame. Where could Liverpool have finished in the league? Because that’s what Dalglish's departure came down to, league position.
Something so arbitrary could have made a massive difference. But now we’ll never know if Dalglish could have turned it around and Liverpool are now scrambling around interviewing 12 managers in the hope of saving face.
Liverpool’s cult hero has been denied his right to reply to the criticism he has faced this season – and that is something the club and it’s owners may come to regret sooner rather than later.

Brendan Rodgers has promised to 'fight for his life' to bring success back to Anfield.
He's signed a three year contract to replace Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool's manager. Dalglish today tweeted to say congratulations.
The club's American chairman revealed that despite speaking to a number of candidates the Northern Irishman was the only one to be offered the job. But in order to seal the deal, they've had to scrap plans for a Director of Football.
