Close to the Edge turns 50 on September 13, 2022.

Close to the Edge is the fifth studio album by Yes, released on September 13, 1972. It reached #3 on the Billboard 200 Top LP's chart, and features the single, "And You And I (Part II)", which reached #42 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. In the Q & Mojo Classic Special Edition Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock, the album came #3 in its list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums". In 2020, Close to the Edge was ranked at #445 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
