Cash will be losing its purchasing power slowly. However, inflation is very low now (at least for the developed countries). Investors who are willing to allocate a higher % of their portfolio to cash can wait out the current uncertainties without losing too much.
well, thanks for your opinion. but I dont think inflation is slow. In fact, its going up at extremely fast pace. think of this. when you buy a wanton noodle back in 30 years. only cost 10 bucks. now, 40 bucks. you take tunnel bus 30 years ago. it was only 兩蚊幾,now nearly 十一蚊,ferry was like 50 cents, now $4.5, my condo was less than 4M, Now its 12M. So everything went up like 3 to 8 times in last 20 to 30 years. you will know the actual inflation is like 10 to 20% per year
