因管理不善而在最佳航空公司排名榜節節下跌的國泰航空，被指馬虎以膠紙貼航機窗口，引安全疑慮！讀者黃先生指，他昨日(12日)乘搭CX438航班由香港前往韓國首爾仁川機場，航班延誤約一小時。在等待登機期間，黃先生發現有職員從機上探身出機師窗口，將膠紙張貼在擋風玻璃和機身連接處，膠紙呈「L字型」。

當時他未有察覺擋風玻璃上有任何破裂，加上不知膠紙作用，因此不以為然。直至飛行途中飛機遇上氣流，不停震盪，黃先生坦言擔心膠紙鬆脫，會導致機師窗口入水，甚至機件故障。

雖然最後航班安全降落，但黃先生怒斥國泰若因擋風玻璃有破裂而需要貼膠紙，此舉是「攞乘客條命『較飛』」，並認為國泰做法太危險和馬虎，「如果膠紙甩咗，啲儀器咪好大鑊！」黃先生指，經過事件後，以後有其他選擇就不會再乘搭國泰。

國泰回應指，該航班為空中巴士A330型客機，於首爾起飛前的例行檢查中，機組人員發現駕駛艙其中一扇窗戶邊角部分的防濕氣接合膠出現輕微磨損，遂按照既定程序，在有關部位使用航機專用的鋁質高速膠帶。

國泰稱，該種鋁質高速膠帶可於物件高速移動時保持緊密接合，普遍用於航機和賽車的輕微修復用途，廣為業界採用。有關輕微修復措施符合既定安全程序，而磨損情況亦已修復。該公司每周定期檢查空巴A330航機駕駛艙窗戶的膠邊狀況，確保營運安全。

小弟曾經在機場工作，以下係真事！不喜勿插！

我見過因為地勤人員唔少心，行李輸送帶車撞穿機尾，個窿有十吋八吋大，工程師睇過話冇問題，貼一張好以錫紙咁嘅嘢上去，照飛，去到日本先補番佢！

Engineering department have guidelines from Boeing or Airbus.
If there are no short term solution they will not apply and you will not see it.
If the plane is really not safe for flight then they will use another plane.
If it is according to guideline and every airlines does that so one will ban all airlines?

That is called high speed tape.
It's not just normal tape.
It's very common to use high speed tape in aviation for temporary  small repairs.
If you look at the picture, you will think they use tape to stick the window together, but that is absolutely not the case.
They are maybe covering a defect screw with high speed tape to hold it and that's safe enough. High speed tape will not come off at all during the flight.

Highspeed tape is widely use in aviation
It is certified so that in normal or even if in heavy rain condition, the tape will still be intact and in place. Nothing to worry about
