Most people who do not receive treatment for HIV will eventually (over years) become ill and die of complications of HIV infection. With treatment (called antiretroviral therapy), though, most people with HIV infection can lead long and healthy lives; this is especially true if they start HIV treatment when their immune system is still relatively strong.'
It is not always fatal. Some people can be HIV position and be a carrier his own life without any health issue. But do you want to risk it? It can be spread to family member or the others even though you are immune to it.
