When we have a required reserve ratio of, say, 10%, that means when Bank A receives $1000 deposit, it can only lend out $900 to Person B. When Person B deposits the $900 to Bank B, Bank B can only lend out the $810, etc. The amount of money in the subsequent process is less and less, thus will not go to infinity.
If some people buy the stock of a bank, it will not increase the deposits of the bank and thus will not affect the money creation process.
