Chablis taste like wine made from mineral water (of course not from Bonaque). Europeans drink a lot of mineral water so they like the flavor of Chablis, but HK/Asian people typically get used to water that don't have any mineral taste, so find the taste of Chablis somewhat strange.
With NZ Sauvignon Blanc similar in style (light, unoaked, high acidity, citrus fruit) but cost much less, it is no surprise that Chablis is not particularly popular in HK/Asia |
