【環球軍事報導】假想日中釣魚島衝突近來成為日本媒體炒作的話題。日本《SAPIO》雜誌2014年7月刊(提前出版)假設，一旦中國占領釣魚島，日本該如何反擊？報導稱，自衛隊與駐日美軍聯合進行的“釣魚島奪回戰”的模擬作戰結果顯示，如果日美安保體係發揮正常，“日美聯軍將獲得釣魚島爭奪戰的絕對勝利”。

報導稱，日本在釣魚島周邊海域負責守衛任務的是由擁有“宙斯盾”驅逐艦的佐世保第2護衛艦隊和吳基地的第4護衛艦隊，多艘“蒼龍”級和“親潮”級潛艇也在附近巡邏。報導認為，儘管不能小視正不斷推進現代化的中國海軍實力，但中國航母遼寧艦未配備彈射器，艦載機無法滿載武器彈藥起飛，因此“幾乎可以不用計算其戰鬥力”。而在空中兵力對比上，中國可能出動100架以上的第四代戰機爭奪釣魚島制空權，而日美聯軍可投入70架F-15戰機和20架F-2戰機，同時美軍還能派出航母艦載機以確保空中優勢。但日本軍事記者清穀信一認為，由於自衛隊擁有的200架F-15戰機中，約一半未進行現代化改進，難以與美軍戰機進行數據共享，因此航空自衛隊可能很難與美軍共同作戰。報導鼓吹，“中國戰機大量飛臨時，部署嘉手納基地的美國F-22隱形戰機也將出擊，1架F-22戰鬥機相當於10架第四代戰機，即使中國投入20架戰機，F- 22也能將它們消滅，然後安全返回”。

日本軍事記者世良光弘認為，一旦日美聯軍控制釣魚島周邊的製海權和製空權，美軍將首先利用戰鬥機摧毀中國登島部隊的防空陣地，再用直升機空降海軍陸戰隊員。接著，他們將與搭乘氣墊船登陸的日本自衛隊奪島部隊“聯合製服島上的中國軍隊”。

中國軍事專家劉江平17日告訴《環球時報》記者，日媒的這種所謂“戰爭假想”經常充滿各種常識性錯誤，而且往往過於誇大日美優勢。例如日美如果真的忽視“沒有滿載武器起飛的中國艦載機”的戰鬥力，他們一定會為此後悔。劉江平認為，未來戰爭是靠體係作戰，而非單純的某一種武器對抗，即使爆發衝突，中國也絕對不會按照對日美最理想的方式作戰。 【環球時報記者 豐豆】

Exactly..We have to clearly identity the purpose of the war. If China and Japan go into war and what will be the ultimate goal to win? For land? Resource? Ownership?
If China sole purpose is just to kick Japan out of its place then why bother to even send any army or ship? They can simply raid Japan 10 times with all those old missile.
China simply have not instant need to start such war but Japan might need so to gain leadership with its current government.

another major issue is that any regional instability will have major catastrophic domino effect on global economy. On one hand, we can claim that as (general) chinese we have a lot to gain if we seize the control of resources in that region and assert dominance which brings a lot benefit (if those benefits ever gets filter down to general public); on the other, any disruption of the trade in the region, however short, can costs billions of direct financial losses and can take monthes, even years to recover.

We all agree that Japan has fast becoming a nausense; but with the 'immaturity' of Chinese foreign policies, I doubt if they themselves can make up their mind on whether to contain this diplomatically or by military action...
