Yeah, been here for a long time..  Never had a chance to go secondary school in HK..I posted the same song in Hi Fi Channel sometime ago..

This song was based on a poem by a 19 years old student, friend of a roommate of Peter.  It is a fairy tale about a boy who lost imaginary adventures.  I believe that student became Paul in 1961.  
Drug? It was Speculation.  The boy's name was Jackie Paper----rolling papers, dragon--dragging--inhale smoke, puff---puff on a joint?  This song is about the hardships of growing older and has no relationship to drug-taking.

Some older English songs are very good.  Unlike today's, they are meaningful with good lyrics, sometimes based on a poem and/or story.  I like 50s to 70s..
