KFC under $4? Oh yes, that is possible.
Since you live here long enough, I am sure you had ordered a Big Mac meal for $2.99 many years ago.
Levis under $20? Those jeans are boys' size, or you can just as easily to look for clearance from websites such as Overstock.com, Bluefly.com, Bonton.com who often undersell the Levis outlet by a $20+ or so. My wife bought a Tommy Hilfiger jeans from Valley Fair store, they were only $9.99. Of course that was a sale price. What a deal! Don't forget during Dec. A&F is 50% off on everything, $20 for a pair of jeans? Yes, you may get something better than just Levis.
Finally BMW, they usually cost more than $30K. Somehow if you buy with European delivery program, you can get a brand new BMW under $30K (base model). I know you will come after me since tax and license are not included. Yes, when you shop for a TV in Costco, BestBuy or Frys, those prices do not include tax too. Sales taxes are separate should be a common sense in here, same as tax and license for the bimmer.
I don't mean to prove you wrong. I just feel we should stay out on those number. No hard feeling, Bro!
Well, I purchased KFC for under a buck USD in the 70s...Lol...base model don't mean much for automobiles, lol...plus tax and license, and NO warranty..I mean if this is the way they wanna play it...that is very stupid. Auraheart gonna stay out of the section..I am not allowed personal opinion, that is sick, and only their opinion. I didn't do any personal attack of our forum members..and I am under attack..B.S.

Brand new BMW for 30K
文章中沒有言明他見到的BMW,是什麼型號?新款或是舊款?
所以怎可能肯定的說,30 ...
He said 30K max for BMW..can you read? Dealers don't keep old models new cars (you don't find old model new cars that is a few years old from dealers)..If you don't know U.S. Please don't assume.
You might as well say it is a used levis..
KFC, if you buy a drink, it is under $4 USD
"其實本主題的重點不是美國物價,而是在大陸生活艱難的情況及探討." Why you pick on me? I didn't say a word about China, for the good or bad.
This is all B.S. I will not reply to your post anymore.
火兄,auraheart 兄嗰句“he is full of sh.....個意思同你嗰句“講風涼話”咪差唔多,半講笑又串串地。大家都唔係小學雞,笑左算啦!
There is some difference..What I said refer to the writer, not him. What he said refers to me..but it is an opinion, I don't mind, but he doesn't allow personal opinion, that sucks!
Calm.... Many of us has been affected by some ( u know who) who likes to talk stats and proof experiences in every details, but can we look at the overall message of the write up.......
Its about the tough living standard in china which is supposedly the 2nd biggest economy in the world but living cost of most people on their salary is not easy. I guess too much money each by the top people.
This is some point that some of the members don't like to talk about, they only like to deny and divert topic to other areas to bring up emotional and personal attack.
Everyone have their right on own opinion, I respected that.
OK, may be under $4 is way too high at this point. Consider the dollar menu, another name is value menu, which ranges from $1 to 1.49. You can get a lot of food including roast beef sandwiches, curly fires, milkshakes, chickwich, ham and cheddar sandwiches, and turnovers in Arby's If you just Google dollar menu, it turns out that nearly every store (you name it, KFC, McDonald, Wendy's, Arby's, Taco Bell) push dollar menu as early as 1988, year after year. Yes, it's limited time, but why do you think they do it every year since 1988? If you want more information, go to wikipedia, it's actually a fact documented in wikipedia.org and you can see what you get for a dollar!!!! I am sure you will understand what I am talking about if you can read English.
Advertising with "Limited time only" is common, I wish you have study College Marketing, then you won't question this. You can also get a salesman type friend and ask how to sell, then they will tell you "buy it now" - meaning "limited time only". It's a selling strategies to draw attraction? Again, go back and study Marketing, it's a GE class!
About the free car wash, do you really know why they offer free car wash? If you step in, wash your car and leave without paying, then you will find a million pairs of eyes staring at you. Basically, you are supposed to give them a contribution, either to the school or to charity. You can try, but I won't, too embarrassed.... I am glad you bring that up, many times, ads are not what they claim to be, only to those who don't understand! You believe it is really "FREE", then I would quote Jiang Zemin said "Too young, too simple, sometime native."
You're going way off base. If you're going to start Dollars Menu, how about 大牌檔 in China? You're the silly one who used that KFC ad in our argument, not me. And it clearly stated it's for limited time only. Again, for your argument with member "auraheart", why wouldn't you use avg prices? You couldn't and you wouldn't because you would lose your argument with him.
"About the free car wash, do you really know why they offer free car wash? If you step in, wash ..."... wow, you actually thought I posted that picture to ask why free car wash was being offered? Come on, I know you're not that bright, but please, don't make it so obvious...
And lastly, no, I cannot read English. Please translate.
