Chelsea have reportedly agreed a ￡50million deal for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, who will join in the summer on June 30.

Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to recruit a top-class forward for next season, and according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, Chelsea have struck an agreement for the Brazilian-born hitman.

Costa, who will represent Spain in this year’s World Cup, will come face-to-face with Chelsea with Atletico in the Champions League semi-finals, but his 32 goals this season have seemingly already convinced Mourinho to splash out a club-record equalling ￡50m.
