"WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD" 原是交由 Tony Bennett 錄音主唱, 但給他推却, 及後才給 Louis Armstrong, 並希望藉着他的魅力, 把不同膚色的人們凝聚一起。可惜這唱片在美國面世後祇能售出約 1,000 張, 主要是得不到廣播電台的推廣, 不過它在英國就得到熱捧, 唱片面市後, 即登上流行細碟榜第一位, 亦是67歲的 Louis Armstrong 至1968年以來, 一位年紀最高而登上榜首的男歌手, 此紀錄至2009年才給 Tom Jones 以68歲之齡超越, 成為另一最高年紀登上流行細碟榜首的男歌手。
2003年, Tony Bennett 與女歌手 K.D. Lang 亦再以此曲的唱片錄音, 而過去亦有不同歌手的演譯均被樂迷歡迎。至1999年 "WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD" 此曲才被列入 "Grammy Hall of Fame 格林美名人堂" 的歌曲。

2001年, "Rapper" 歌手Ghostface Killah and Raekwon 的一曲 "The Forest" 把開始的三句歌詞取自 "What A Wonderful World" 暗喻對大麻的飄然所誘之意。 因此原曲的版權持有人 Albilene Music 要向 "The Forest" 的唱片公司 Sony Music 訴諸法庭, 但該訴訟不被法院接納, 法官稱歌詞的套用是無可爭議的蠢事, 但祇不過把美好的原意轉到黑暗面而已。

I am in San Francisco, CA..I go to my favorite local karaoke once a week or once every two weeks..One problem is I like singing "old cake songs" where those white dudes sing more current ones..
You could make it without any problem....I did not do much for 15 years and still feel good. Therefore you should feel happy and good for the rest of your life........By the way....nothing wrong with it....Itn't it.
