Since the Unites States Supreme Court allow unlimited political campaign financing from corporations recently. Now you see total purchase of a few politicians.
The best example are Ted Cruz of Texas and Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina – bought and paid for by few billionaires. They are the hardest driving force in this shut down.

No money for health care, education, housing, transportation infrastructure, police, poor, food stamps … nothing, nada.
So you want to know where the money goes? Really, you do not know? You mean somebody is doing all these behind your back?
Massive public fund spent across USA on privately owned stadiums, football, Baseball, hockey, you name it. Both professional and colleges, multiple stadiums per city. So far trillions -- obscene amount are spent and more pouring in. Biggest joke of the day; Detroit was the largest American city to file bankruptcy. The next day, Detroit announced $400 million of public funding of a new Detroit Red Wing private hockey stadium – to replace the current one. Just look around the bay area, you see new Cal, Stanford, Santa Clara 49ers football, SF AT&T baseball stadiums, billions of public money spent on private owners’ toys.
Billions and billions spent on political campaigns, both public and private funds. Lobbyists are king.
And obviously, billions of public money subsidy pouring into private companies in big oil, big farms, big drug industries and getting bigger and bigger banks. No wonder top American companies like Apple & GE paid next to none in tax.
Cities across America are going bankrupt but many public employees are paid in high 6 figures with huge sum in pensions.
If you haven’t see the documentary “Waiting For Superman”, you should. Because even you are part of the 1%, this is what America is going – down the tube, rapidly.
Well, in 2012, top 1% Americans toke in 43% of GNP and this percentage is increasing in rapid rate.
Well, you get it; Democrats are not stupid. In the future, if any minority party take hold of any legislative part. They see anything they do not like. They can do same to shut down the government again and again. Is this democracy? What majority rule?
So you Hong Kong people want the same kind of direct election? Well, you are looking at your future, today.

If you have ever casted your vote, you should feel the difference, even when the one you support lost at the end.
Respect the right of every single citizen and nobody is more equal than others. Why shuold we need so many middle man from functinal groups. We are all educated and we don't need elites to show us what to do. The erea when communist elites led the peasants fighting for the better life has gone.
No big brothers watching from behind, no censorship, so that we can have 141 here - a very humble wish.

香港仔? There is NO direct presidential voting in America. Electroral College is INDIRECT voting. As long as you are in ANY blue or red states, your vote is meaningless and do not make ANY difference.
