其後两人在樂壇浮沉多年, Paul Simon 更先後用 Paul Kane, True Taylor 與 Jerry Landis 的不同名字作唱片錄音,
亦曾另组一隊名為 "TICO & THE TRIUMPHS" 的樂隊, 但始終不能建立自己的風格與歌唱路線。

1959年 Jerry Landis (Paul Simon), Carole King 組成的錄音室二人组合: "THE COSINES"
PAUL SIMON : Guitar, Bass, Lead Vocal
CAROLE KING : Piano, Drums, Back Up Vocal
他們演譯的全是 Doo-Wop 節奏的樣本錄音。至1992年, 該唱片公司 CHANCE RECORD 才以黑膠细碟將這两首歌曲印製發行,
但仍用 JERRY LANDIS 的名字於唱片上。
ART GARFUNKEL ARTIE GARR
在這時期, Art Garfunkel 以此名字與一些小型唱片公司錄音灌碟, 雖然曾出版近 30張細碟,
但還是鬱鬱不得志, 皆因他的歌曲亦同樣走向 Doo-Wop 節奏及情歌路線, 偶然他跟 Paul Simon 仍有合作,
只用 TICO & THE TRIUMPHS 的名字錄製歌曲而已, 不過當時美國樂壇正值 British Invasion,
給Beatles 旋風式的潮流入侵, 幾乎給各類流行音樂比下去。
BREAKUP & REUNION
SIMON & GARFUNKEL
两人近10年不停的嘗試, 由個人至合作, 仍未見有任何成績, 至1964年, 經 Columbia 哥倫比亞唱片公司的安排,
以 SIMON & GARFUNKEL 两人的名字组合, 錄製首張唱片專輯 "Wednesday Morning 3 AM", 但銷售數量仍見不佳。
Paul Simon 決定獨自前往英國發展, 1965年5月在倫敦錄製 "The Paul Simon Song Book" 專輯, 但樂迷的反應仍是一般。
同年9月 "Wednesday Morning 3 AM" 唱片專輯的監製 Tom Wilson 把碟內的 "The Sounds Of Silence" 加上電結他與鼓的音效,
由 Folk 變為動感的 Folk Rock 版本, 重召他倆錄音, 此一變身即成為 Billboard 細碟榜冠軍。
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLE WATER - 1970
這歌曲是他两人在樂壇的高峰又是最後的合作歌曲, 其後各自發展, 至1972年6月再次合作於 Madison Square Garden,
為 George McGovern 競選總統助選壓場同台演出, 之後仍繼續各自發展與及多次两人合作演出。
完美的和聲二重唱组合, Paul Simon 的歌曲撰寫才華, 在60年代中期開始大放異彩, 使很多青少年十分着迷,
帶給歌迷很多驚喜之作, 他們的歌曲自此成為 Rock n' Roll 時期的另一番新景像, 過去他們的歌唱事業每每舉步維艱,
两人分開和復合多次, 幾經改變才分別走上成功之路, 日後的離合, 只會帶給樂迷驚喜多於一切, 甚至無聲勝有聲?
