A bizarre new smart phone application inspired by sitting on the toilet, has many features including a map that shows you where other users of the app are currently using the bathroom near you. Created and launched in 2009, iPoo has over 300,000 users who have purchased the one-dollar app for their smart phone. iPoo's website describes the app as "a social community that brings together pooers from around the world. Write messages, draw graffiti, earn points and badges, see what others are posting - all while dropping a deuce!" One of the creators of the app, and the only one who publicly acknowledges his involvement with the project, replied when it was suggested that people not bring their phone into public bathroom stalls with them by saying simply: "Sanitation wipes."
iPoo is also the name of a toilet that is certainly not modeled after the famous apple computer logo. Its designer created renderings of a satirical product, the iPoo toilet, which is marketed as "a prestigious designer toilet," that "has exactly the same function as any other toilet and costs twice as much for the same performance."
