Their problem is lack of knowledge and ignoring safety.
Of course you take all the caution if you are repairing. If an apprentice can do it when he is 17 years old, I think I could do it too, with right level of being prepared.
This is just common sense, really has nothing to do with car knowledge.
The first one, just put a towel on top of the cap and rinse it with cold water. You gonna really wait for hours before the radiator to become cool.
The last one, most congestion is in injector level unless somebody put in serious dirty gas. Anyway a simple blow isn't going to solve the problem so not even worth to try.
