time travelling

from newton relativity, time is absolute reference. however, einstein introduced the  special relativity of motion, he explained the speed would be a factor that affect time. time travelling has been a controversy topic in science community, some argued it is theoretically possible, but some said even if the device exist, our human heart and body could not be coped with such as a high speed. what do you guys think?

The reason why nothing can travel faster than the speed of light is because light (which is made up of tiny, tiny particles called photons) has no MASS. I know you said don't bring E=mc^2 in this but i will have to in order to answer your primary question. E=mc^2 is the ratio of energy and mass. To travel as fast as the speed of light you would need energy to propel it.As the speed increases the MASS increases as well, as the MASS increases the energy needed to propel it would increase to. So when you near the speed of light you will eventually be needing an infinite amount of energy and an infinite amount of MASS. Now, the reason why light is as fast as it is, is because it has no MASS and it is recorded to be the fastest thing (which is why it is used in the equation). Now our universe is a humongous place, there just may be something faster than the speed of light, but that's not the point of Einsteins theorem. His point is that nothing can travel past a certain point as long as it has mass (refer back to the stars to see why). And since light is the fastest thing recorded without mass it will be used as this centuries speed limit.

secondly,gravity and the light measured in different units, so you can't directly compare them. However, in universal terms, gravity is actually a very weak force. Compare it to something like magnetism- you can have two very small magnetic items and can easily observe the magnetic attraction. But, when you hold a large object and a small object near each other, you can't see any obvious attraction from the gravitational force of the larger object on the smaller one. man, seems like you never took physics in high school.

It is the mass which curves spacetime, and that curvature is perceived by us as gravitational attraction. The greater the concentration of mass; the more spacetime is curved.

thank god. finally, finally someone who is interested in science, love you ching. i like michio but what about lawrence krauss? do you know him as well? i just read a book from him (A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather Than Nothing) it's amazing, go check it out.

有關這說法分了兩大主流而論

一批科學家在研究了結論, 宇宙或所有物理及物質上是必須有野存在先可產生演變另一物質出現. 這跟宇宙大爆炸之前, 原來宇宙比壓縮到只有我們的一粒豆般大, 系大爆作做成了這宇宙出來, 包括: 正反物質及正反能量

另一批科學家說出, 是一個非物質道即無中生有地發展出宇宙來, 而這理論也解釋到未來現今宇宙前是有可能出現前身宇宙的毀滅做成. 即是所有物質道系由非物質而創造出來, 這推論就可在中國古代老子道德經內解釋的, 即為哲學上無中生有中過來的!
有關非物質道你去尋找這名作者叫:胡領祥 佢有解釋什麼叫非物質道的. 至於加來道雄這些說法系可行, 但要國家去支持先有機會製造出模型來研究, 當中的科技及解決等要有實際的行動先可了解是否OK. 不然理論每個是可行的. 講就什麼都可以~

你的說法是跟隨愛因斯坦定律而說, 有人已經想反他理論, 我聽講座這名天體學家認為愛因在相對論的時空論中已經走晒位, 認為他已經錯誤了時間時空的槪念及數學式, 當然霍金認為系對及有一批科學家還是認同的, 包括美國政府早在50年代起大力陰中研究時光機穿越時空中. 呢!費城大停電咪話關開動時光器時出現這情況囉!

sorry, i don't know which Astrophysicist you heard it from or are you just referring to the experiment that the scientists claimed to prove sub-atomic particles can travel faster than light?

亞原子粒子比原子還小, 不過相對微中子應該是現今科學發現最細, 質量幾等同能量值或可說零之稱~

nah, i ain't falling into the religious shit. the bible didn't even mention the world is a sphere. you seems like a smart guy, so i reckon you understand as a scientific literacy person you cannot believe in sth without evidences. at least, the big theory provided some scientific evidences. do you actually believe in existence of god or do you just do it to practice your spiritual life?

總有打破的時刻, 其實我覺得牛頓都是好勁的當代科學家一名, 不過最大成就是他鑽研"錬金術"
基本簡單說, 由現有物質轉變為另一物質, 原理就是這樣! 其實引身回愛因斯坦的最大偉大成就是"時空、時間"他相對論最大花一生研究出時空理論並在晚期給予美國政府作實驗! 所以我覺得不可能否定他偉論.

其實我發現到, 要了解我們的宇宙、科技、科學、天文學、物理學等等. 除只有物理公式需死背死讀外!
宗教是其中一門你必須知道並了解他的歷史及野史及一些陰謀論及非認同的事件中, 尋找到有關宇宙之事. 以中國的佛教理論與槪念是跟宇宙類似, 還有我國的易經及太極等. 這都有科學根據!
其實宗教的由來系點可能推往到外星文明及古文明的追索下去. 所以究竟是否神創造出來, 並不可否定, 因宇宙以外或我們宇宙之前究竟是什麼沒有人可知道! 神是代表一些我們超出範圍之外知識. 並稱之為神. 你可說是外星文明的一部份說法. 不過科學上還有許多盲點及只屬理論而已. 以早前發現上帝粒子及暗物質暗能量之存在. 對於科學是重大發現. 人類要解開之事還是漫長之路.

括: 以西方宗教的聖經, 其實自死海古卷發現後, 一些非公開經文已根現有聖經有不同之處, 由於聖經過去二千多年歷史在多不勝數抄手及改寫及抄錯比比皆是, 所以原版究竟是怎樣也許在經文上已經提及一些事!
包括三位牧羊人能夠睇北斗星已經知道他們對天文有一定上知識, 還有洪水的挪亞方舟看回一些專家研究出, 是有兩位寫作創世紀內容, 即說當時有機會系自然災害做成. 這屬於自然科學一門專科. 另一名作著是只提宗教需要尊敬神, 即屬人民科學上專科了.

i have to admit i never heard the term "錬金術", so i gotta to give you credits for bringing that up. but from i know is changing one element into another, you would have to add or remove protons. To our current knowledge, this is impossible. please correct me if i am wrong. btw i don't agree with you that "錬金術" is isaac newton's biggest accomplishments, i think Newton was famous for the contributions to physics were his three laws of motion and law of universal gravitation.
