I have to correct your concept. If you hold cash (Conservative Fund classified as a very low risk category), there is a chance to lose, lost to inflation. Especially we patched with US dollars. If QE3 is going to launch, you HK dollars is going to shrink again. Typical Asset Allocation

Guaranteed Fund is a good choice at current situation, because of the World's Stocks Market is quite volatile. If the Europe Debt is not able so solve in due in a year or two. Their debts will get bigger, which is going to pull down the world’s economy.
However, if you are still young, I suggest you to allocate your portfolio with high risk strategy. The reason is that you should aim your return in 20 to 30 years later.
