Dennis Ritchie，C 語言、Unix 系統之父，卒於2011年10月9日，享年70歲。

對絕大部份人黎講，C、Unix係乜東東未必知，更加唔識Dennis Ritchie係乜水；只係識iphone、mac、Steve Jobs。
唔緊要，Dennis Ritchie貢獻已經溶入每個人日常生活中，當然C同Unix並唔係佢獨創，不過如果冇佢，生活可能不一樣。
我只係想當Steve Jobs受盡萬人膜拜時候，紀念一下呢位電腦界偉大o既人。

Thank you for your reminder but maybe you should have said the Author of K&R C.
I have to admit the name did not immediately ring a bell until I saw "C" and remember my "C" bible.  

Anyone who have studied Operating System must have at least heard about Unix (Linux 's ancestor).

Anyone who have studied programing must at least have heard about "C" .

The  C  Bible



2nd Edition is commonly known as the "ANSI C Bible"


Dennis Ritchie, who originally designed and implemented the "C"  language, as well as co-designed the Unix operating system with which development of the language was closely intertwined.

In the marketing world perception is reality. Today the perception is that Steve Jobs was a great innovator.
In reality Dennis Ritchie probably contributed more to the world of computing then the late Steve Jobs.
