【速寫 Everything But The Girl 新作《Nothing Left To Lose》—— 超過兩個 Decades 嘅期待】

呢度有無人同我一樣，得知 Everything But The Girl (EBTG) 重組，而感到激動不已？

舊年年尾， Tracey Thorn 喺 twitter 公布，2023 年春季，EBTG 會繼 1999 年《Temperamental》後，再次發表新專輯《Fuse》。新專輯發表前熱身作《Nothing Left To Lose》，今日正式新鮮上架。

之前曾一度幻想，以為 EBTG 今次久別重逢，Tracey 同 Ben Watt 二人會 Back to basic，重投 Acoutsic-Pop / Indie-Pop 懷抱，當然只係我一廂情願諗多咗。《Nothing Left To Lose》仍繼承著《Temperamental》嘅 Downtempo 跳舞風格，音樂上仍然非常時髦，完全唔覺過時，完勝新一代𠴱啲九流流 EDM（其實根本完全唔同 Level 無得比！）

不過初聽《Nothing Left To Lose》，係完全認唔到 Tracey 把聲，還以為 EBTG 請嚟黑人騷靈歌手 Featuring 獻唱！同樂隊 41 年前處女作《Night and Day》時期 Tracey 漫不經意嘅唱腔相比，兩者完全係兩個世界。「Kiss me while the world decays / Kiss me while the music plays」，世界的確完全變晒，變到好差勁；唯有音樂，唯有真誠嘅創作，繼續無得輸！
