Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by Pink Floyd, released in the US on September 12, 1975 (September 15 in the UK). It reached #1 on the Billboard 200 Top LP's chart, and also topped the UK Albums chart. Initially receiving mixed reviews, the album has since become acclaimed by critics, and it placed at number 209 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
