If you are a guitar player or just someone who loves the guitar, you are familiar with Gary Moore. 11 years ago today, Gary passed away from a heart attack. He was only 58 years old (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011).
Gary was a member of a number of bands, most notably Thin Lizzy. He also released solo records. He never achieved the success in the US that he had in Europe, but there probably isn't a guitar player that doesn't know him. He is one of the highest regarded players ever.
He was a guitar player’s guitar player.
RIP Gary. Thanks for the music and showing us how to play.
