11月11日是「國殤紀念日」，為反思和平的日子。圖為香港中環和平紀念碑，其設計與英國倫敦和平紀念碑幾乎一致。

國殤紀念日（Remembrance Day）訂立於每年的11月11日，香港譯作和平紀念日、又稱陣亡將士紀念日，旨在紀念第一次世界大戰、第二次世界大戰、以及其他戰爭中犧牲的軍民。

而第一個國殤日1919年在英聯邦舉行，原稱「停戰日」（Armistice Day），於1919年11月7日由英王喬治五世創立，紀念第一次世界大戰於1918年11月11日上午11時結束。
