" 新鈔設計圍繞香港情懷，陳德霖表示5款面額新鈔設計主題為國際金融中心（1,000元）、香港地質公園（500元）、粵劇（500元）、棲息本港蝴蝶（50元）及飲茶文化（20元）。至於鈔票背面圖案則使用垂直、而非傳統的水平設計，當局表示可為市民帶來新鮮感。不過，普羅市民似乎並不領情。以粵劇演員為主題的100元新鈔，匯豐及渣打設計均有男女演員造手唱曲，唯獨中銀僅印上女演員，並佔據鈔票較大面積，不少網民批評中銀設計差劣，有人嘲笑該鈔票看似陰司紙。 "
