COBOL is only for banks...where all such jobs are migrated to mainland, malay or india

當年 pre-Y2k 年代咁好搵， 就系改寫呢 part.
工作量 其實唔系 好多， 但可以狂篤OT. 越大公司越好篤
因為連你老頂都篤埋一份， 的靚唔篤佢邊有得篤 ？

本來重寫 / migrate 去新一代 語言 的確 唔貴。
但個個老細一聽到，就乘機 話增加乜，增加物，
或改善邊度， 結果就 十倍 初步估計都未 埋尾

Not true. Memory and storage were very expensive in the early days so system designers used only 2 bytes to represent year to minimize program and file sizes.

COBOL is mainly used by banks or insurance systems that more banks are moving to distributed platform, though some of them still keep them which need local support. It is hard to retain the relevant resources to keep the systems up and running so more migrations are in progress, if not completed.
