Windows 7 and Windows 8.1
Microsoft announced the End of License for Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1, and Windows 8.1 Pro.
Effective October 31, 2016, OEMs will no longer be licensed to ship systems configured with these OS.
This announcement reflects the prior Microsoft commitment to provide one-year notice prior to the EOL for Windows 7 Pro.
Downgrades
Microsoft also announced that OEM downgrade facilitation from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 7 Pro and from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 7 Professional will end on October 31, 2016.
