BMW confirm M4 M3 年半後生產

BMW has confirmed that, in about a year and a half, it will produce an M4 version of the 4-series coupe concept the company recently unveiled, and which is pictured here.




But the existence of an M4 does not preclude the existence of an M3, one of the longest-running nameplates from the M boys and the sub-brand’s philosophical heart. And so both M4 and M3 models will be produced. BMW might sometimes be silly, but it is not stupid.

And that is about all BMW will say on the subject. It’s giving no hints to the specifications for M3/M4 models. It’s widely been assumed that the 4.0-liter V-8 will no longer be the engine of choice for the model. Instead, a high-power, turbocharged version of the inline six is expected. Unlike the current M5, where a manual gearbox is offered only in America, we expect the next M3 to offer a conventional six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic in most markets.
