改掉用車的壞習慣 不給電瓶加“負擔”

　　一般來說，汽車電瓶使用壽命為2至3年，新車原裝電瓶能使用3年以上。事實上，很多新車主卻因為一些不當的用車小習慣，導致電瓶迅速沒電。

　　●忘記關燈和車載電器

　　停車熄火時，忘記關車內照明燈，這是很多新車主容易犯的小錯誤。電瓶經過一夜的消耗後，隨時可能會沒電，啟動不了汽車。遇到這種情況，條件許可情況下，可以嘗試為電瓶充電即可。如果還是不行，電瓶可能需要更換。盡量不要在車輛未啟動時使用CD、點煙器等電器設備，行車過程中也少用各種車載電器。

　　●熄火前忘關空調

　　大多數車主習慣了不關空調或讓空調隨著車輛啟動自動啟動，這會造成在每次打開車輛的點火開關後，空調系統就會自動啟動工作，後果是直接導致車輛瞬間功率負荷過高，長久對電瓶就是一種損耗。

　　正確習慣應該是，每次到達目的地前，先關掉A/C按鍵，讓冷風吹幾分鐘，以保證空調系統內部的干燥，減少細菌的滋生。然後在熄車之前，關掉空調。每次著車之後，再啟動空調。

　　●怠速時聽大功率音響

　　如果您的愛車的音響系統經過改裝，裝上了一個大功率的音響，那麼就要小心了。在不著車情況下，怠速聽大功率的音響，同樣會給電瓶帶來極高的負荷。

　　●頻繁啟動車輛

　　每次啟動發動機時，不要超過3秒。如果第一次啟動失敗，這時候不要急於反復啟動。從汽車的工作原理來說，此時連續啟動電動機肯定會造成電瓶過度放電而受損，再次發動時的時間間隔應超過5秒。

　　●預知電瓶“罷工”前兆

　　一般臨近壽命終點的電瓶，車主在駕駛中可以有所感受，譬如車停放幾天就發現打不著火，油耗增加，在夏季開空調行駛感覺車負擔加重，車沉、油耗增加明顯等。車主在電瓶使用周期兩年半左右時，常規保養就應檢測電瓶，這能起到預防作用。

Car battery should last longer than 4-5 years. 2 definitely sounds too short.

That depends on how you operate your car. The life span of car accumulator ranges from 2 to 5 years, with 3 years as the average. Also the above article has not mentioned that if you travel overseas, leaving your car at home for a long period of time. Don't forget to disconnect the car accumulator before you take off.

I think battery can last quite long nowadays especially the new car.
But I notice that for the second hand car, the battery do need more care.

First, in general, battery likes warmness and hates coldness, HK is really a good place for battery as it doesn't get too cold. So in general battery here should not last shorter period.
Second, it might be the mileage in HK which kills battery coz typical local ppl don't really drive much.

If I have to leave my car home for too long (months), probably I will get a floating charger.

I just changed my 6 years old Toyota's battery just in case it fails. In fact it was perfectly OK  and probably will last at least another year but it is just me trying to prevent a problem.

Similar case for the Corolla I used to have it last at least six years too.
