BMW 明年起用全新 1.5 升渦輪 3 缸引擎

德國 BMW 明年部分新車將會採用全新的 1.5 升 TwinPower 渦輪 3 缸引擎。此引擎擁有渦輪增壓、缸內直噴、以及可變氣門控制等等先進的技術。據了解新引擎可輸出 122 匹至 224 匹馬力，扭力則由 180 與 240 牛頓米之間。

224匹 is not a problem, but wonder where the REV is to have it.  If BMW can have the 224Hbp with little turbo lag, then it is really amazing.

Rumors are saying BMW is going to have a 728i next year, very likely with the 245hp 2.0T inline-4 engine from the 3 and 5 series 328i and 528i.  Consider back in the mid 90s, the E38 7-series lower-trim levels have the following hp:

728i (2.8L Inline-6)  193hp
730i (3.0L V8)  218hp
735i (3.5L V8)  235hp

Of course, we are talking about a heavier newer car here (1935kg for a 730i vs 1710kg for a 728i back then).

尼隻引擎真係勁，不過我一向偏愛低轉數，大扭力的引擎多於高轉大馬力的引擎。

I was told by an BMW mechanic that the durability of these type of engine is not as good. Even they are more powerful and have better efficiency in gas mileage.
